Take control of your camera, get creative in different lighting conditions and photograph with intention and meaning. And learn it all in a casual setting without the complicated tech jargon!
My greatest passion is to capture my family’s everyday life at home and on adventures, and to tell our family story through images that are meaningful to us and to our family and friends. I create images that make us smile, laugh, feel loved and connected. And I can help you do the same for your family.

To ensure you make the most out of your VIP experience, before your session we’ll discuss where you’re currently at in your photography journey and set some goals you’d like to achieve. Then, we’ll tailor topics, time and location of your session to meet your goals, with the aim to incorporate your family if we can! We’ll catch up again a few weeks later to answer any question you might have or go over something you might be stuck on. And I’ll also prepare a cheat sheet just for you to refer to as you practice what you’ve learned.
The time of day we start your VIP experience will depend on what goals you want to achieve. For example, if you want to learn how to photograph at sunset then your session will be later in the day, or if you mostly photograph your family in the middle of the day then we’ll do the same. If taking photos in your home is your priority, then we’ll probably go for a morning session.
We’ll cover topics such as:
Controlling exposure
Creating bokeh using shallow depth of field
Focus settings
Different lighting conditions
My preferred settings for photographing children
How different techniques can give your photos more meaning
What makes a good black and white photo
RAW v JPEG files
Note: I’m a natural light photographer so I don’t teach using lighting accessories, but I’ll help you understand challenging light indoors and outdoors in the middle of the day and sunset.

I’ve spent years perfecting my editing style and learning all the ins and outs of Lightroom, and I’d love to share what I know with you.
This VIP experience is suitable for hobbyists (including family historians) or want-to-be professionals ready to turn their hobby into a business. You’ll need to be photographing in RAW (that’s the file type Lightroom uses), so if you’re not sure what that means then maybe do my ‘Master Your Camera’ VIP experience first! And you’ll need the latest version of Lightroom installed on your computer or laptop.

Note: This VIP experience is for Lightroom only. Photoshop is not included. But don’t worry, Lightroom has advanced so much it does heaps of what we used to use Photoshop for, I very rarely use Photoshop for my client editing these days.
