Booking is easy! Just go to my contact form, fill in your details and I will get back to you to organise a quick phone chat. To secure your date, you will sign some paperwork and pay a retainer of $200 (or $100 for mini sessions).

I have a limited number of sessions per month so please book in advance.

In short, no the retainer is non-refundable, but it can be transferred to a new date should we need to reschedule your session. Any other payments you make on top of the retainer are refundable. I’ll hold on to any payments you make to me for 3 years (after which you’ll forfeit these payments, but 3 years is a long time and I’ll send you reminders to make sure you don’t forget!).

It also locks in current pricing (as advertised the time you pay the retainer) for 12 months. After that time, if you still haven’t rebooked your session, new advertised prices will apply.

Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, best friends and everyone in between… I love big families!

If you’re happy to keep your session to the same duration (around 60-90 minutes) then there’s no extra charge to include more people. However, just keep in mind that more people will generally take more time to coordinate and so there will be less actual photographing time overall, and possibly less photos then you would have otherwise received if it was just your immediately family.

If anyone is sick on the day of the session, I will happily reschedule for another day. Same goes for me, if I’m not well I’ll let you know asap, and we will find another date. I’ll never turn up to a session unwell especially if you have a newborn baby. There is no fee to reschedule your session if anyone is unwell.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of mini sessions we can’t simply reschedule a new date for you, but you can transfer your retainer payment to another mini session when they’re offered.

We can shoot your photos outside or in your home. I’ve also opened my home studio for more intimate sessions.

I love shooting outdoors, especially at the beach or in a bush setting! If you choose an outdoor session it will begin around 1.5 hours before sunset so we get that magical golden light. I have some fave locations to choose from or we can go somewhere special to your family.

I usually do in home sessions earlier in the day, around 10am, when everyone’s still fresh from the morning (and it’s when light is usually the best), but if you think there’s a better time that works for your family then let me know.

I’m based in Ocean Grove and service the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula, Surf Coast and Greater Geelong areas. I also travel to Melbourne. If you’re not in these areas then still get in touch, I love to travel so we might be able to work something out.

Beautiful photographs can be made in any kind of weather, but I understand that there are some downsides to being photographed in the pouring rain or the freezing cold. I can and do reschedule sessions for inclement weather but am also happy to use your home if sticking to the schedule is a priority. There is no fee to reschedule your session due to bad weather.

This is the most common question I’m asked, so to help you prepare for your session I’ve created a Prep Guide that’s jam-packed with info, including what to wear (and what to avoid) as well as my fave shops and brands.

I’ve also been collecting beautiful dresses and newborn/children clothing that you can borrow for your session, completely free of charge.

Don’t worry, I totally get it! Late afternoons can be tricky, so I’ve covered some great ways to help the session go smoothly in my Prep Guide.

The short answer is no. I spend hours editing your images to achieve the look and feel that I love, and which is cohesive with my portfolio of images. I’ll remove small blemishes, such as pimples or scratches that are distracting in the image, but I don’t offer more time-consuming photoshopping or image manipulation. If this is something you would like, a separate quote for high-end retouching will be provided.

Shortly after your session I’ll share some sneak peaks on my socials (with your permission of course), and then I'll reach out again about a week or so later when your gallery is ready to view online.

Custom orders are also available.

I’ll send you a link to my online store shortly after your session so you can look through what’s on offer (and decide how you might like to spend your print credit if you upgrade). You’ll get full access to my online store when you receive your photos.

This one is for families I’ve already worked with. Refer a friend, and when they have their session, you’ll get $150 that can be used to boost your bonus credit and grab that extra special print product to hang on your wall. Or you can put the $150 towards your next family session.

To earn your referral bonus, your friend must be a new client, and they must nominate you in their contract, pay for a Story session in full AND have their session before the $150 credit voucher will be issued to you. You’ll receive your referral bonus as a credit voucher via email, and you’ll have 12 months to use your credit voucher. I’ll send your reminders along the way so you don’t forget to use it!

If you’re using your credit voucher towards your next session, keep in mind it can only be used towards a Story session. Snapshot mini sessions are excluded.

The credit voucher is not transferable to another person, but you can use it to purchase a Story session for someone else (ie. you purchase a $700 value gift card for $550) which is then valid for 3 years.

You’re not eligible for the referral bonus if your referee is already an existing client of mine (ie. referees must be new clients) OR if they don’t nominate you as their referrer in their contract at the time of booking.

Because I love visiting my clients and seeing their families grow, I offer them 10% off their next family session when they secure it in advance. And it locks in my current pricing even if my prices increase before we book a session date.

The discount applies to any advertised session.

Your next session must take place within 15 months of your original session, but don’t worry, I’ll reach out to you at about the 12-month mark to set a date. One less thing for you to think about!
